Future iterations of Apple's AirPods Pro and AirPods Max may feature an advanced ultrasonic touch sensor to make the wearable audio devices more usable in wet conditions. This is according to a patent application by Apple which was published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office yesterday.

As Apple fans would know, WWDC is the Apple event with a focus on software. Of course, they also revealed new MacBooks this year, specifically a Pro and Air variant featuring the Apple M2 chip. For fans who are waiting for new Apple TWS earphones, you'll have to wait for the AirPods Pro 2 that's expected to have many new upgrades.

Apple has just released a new firmware for its popular line of wearable wireless audio devices which includes the AirPods 2, AirPods Pro and the AirPods Max. Currently at firmware version 4E71, it is replacing the previous version of 4C165.

There is already a couple of news regarding the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and we won't be surprised that it will be released in 2022. Out of all the rumoured news, the most reliable one would be from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and he has some new information about the upcoming wireless earbuds.

We have lost count of how many times we saw the news mentioning when the new Apple AirPods Pro would launch but didn't. This time, it might be more accurate as a tipster named FronTron has gotten the information directly from a credible source. According to them, the AirPods Pro 2 will indeed launch in Q3 2022.

So out of nowhere, Apple just announced another event that will happen on the 18th of October 2021. Heading into the Apple Malaysia website, the livestream Apple Event will start at 1 AM on 19 October which can be viewed on the website or the Apple TV app.

Over the year, the rumoured launch window for the Apple AirPods Pro 2 changed multiple times. It went from 1H 2021 to 2022, then back to between Q4 2021 and Q1 2022. Now the same source is claiming that the launch window has been pushed further back.

As you know, Apple released iOS 15 recently, which introduced some new features. Not a lot of people have upgraded to the new version yet, as users might not consider it worth upgrading to. But the new upgrade for the AirPods Pro could be useful for some people.

Earlier this year, it was suggested that Apple would be launching a new AirPods model in H1 2021. Some say this should be the AirPods 3, while others claim it will be a new AirPods Pro. Based on new rumours, the former is more likely. However, the launch is probably not happening anytime soon.

Recently, Apple postponed its next big launch to next month. The event was originally supposed to showcase the AirPods 3, but it's clear the product isn't ready. Now, it's believed that wireless earbuds won't be available till later this year.
